Our primary care sports medicine specialists showed up to the ODU Lady Monarch Basketball Hoops for the Cure game last week to cheer on the local ladies and support breast cancer awareness. The game is part of an annual Susan G. Komen Foundation Hoops for the Cure campaign to raise awareness for women’s breast cancer.

The ODU basketball team won a tightly-contested game against Northeastern 70-67. The game came just two days after Sara Jones, a volunteer assistant, died of cancer. She was 40.

Dr. Jason McHugh, Dr. Michael Simpson, and Dr. Jocelyn Ricasa (all in pink) accept the game ball.
