• GET SUNLIGHT! Natural sun light not only provides us with natural vitamin D but has also been shown to improve mood . Easy ways to get sunlight: open windows shades, sit near the window in a restaurant, and spend time outdoors.

  • Exercise! Physical activity releases the “feel good” hormones which help boost your energy level, metabolism and mood.

  • Eat a healthy diet. It is important to maintain proper nutrition and drink at least eight glasses of water a day for adequate hydration. Consume foods of complex carbohydrates such a veggies, fruits, and whole wheat products while avoiding sugary or greasy junk foods.

  • Get some sleep! Take advantage of these lull days and catch up on some much missed sleep. Seven to eight hours a night should be adequate and don’t forget to take those 10-30 minutes powernaps throughout the day! Avoid the binge sleeping of 12+ hours on the weekend….you will actually wind up feeling more tired.
