• Concussion return to play should only occur once the athlete is completely symptom free for at least 24 hours and the athlete should be gradually introduced into physical activity. If at any time symptoms reoccur the athlete should cease activity until symptoms are gone for another 24 hours.

  • Don’t hide your symptoms. Report it. Take time to recover. It’s better to miss one game than sit out your entire life.

  • Strain vs Sprain: Strain is the stretching or tearing of muscle tendon which connects muscle to bone while a sprain is the stretching or tearing of ligaments which connects bone to bone.

  • Heat before, ice after.
